The M5 is entering a crowded market. However, as an EREV, it offers an advantage that no other electrified car of similar size has, namely a promised range of more than 1,100 km. The base versions of the M5 feature a 200 kW (272 hp) engine on the rear axle, which is already more than enough for most, but the twin-engine versions can turn the M5 into a monster.

Inside the M5, the desire for simplicity remains: a single 15.6-inch screen in the center and many horizontal lines. Nevertheless, it feels very premium, with all surfaces of the car upholstered in leather. Even the door pockets and the lower parts of the center console have this finish, and cheap plastic is very hard to find.

Comfort remains a priority for the average consumer, and the M5 succeeds in this task, absorbing most bad road surfaces without too much noise.
