Yangwang is a new brand of high-end luxury electric cars managed by BYD. The Yangwang brand was introduced in January with two cars: the Yangwang U8 SUV and the Yangwang U9 supercar. The Yangwang U8 got lidar and cameras above the windshield, large mirrors, black wheel arches, a rear spare wheel cover and retractable door handles. This is a huge car with dimensions of 5319 x 2050 x 1930 mm and a wheelbase of 3050 mm.
In addition to the new SUV, the Yangwang brand also unveiled the new Yisifang technology, which will be used for the first time in the Yangwang U8 and subsequently used on all vehicles of the brand.
The technology includes four independent engines mounted on each wheel, which, among other things, allow the vehicle to turn 360 degrees in one place. This technology allows you to maintain control over the car in the event of damage to one wheel. According to the developers, the new electronically controlled all-wheel drive system responds 100 times faster than a traditional all-wheel drive system.
The power of each electric motor is 239 kW (235 horsepower) and the torque is 420 Nm. The all-wheel steering chassis will make a significant contribution to providing increased off-road mobility; it will allow the rear wheels to engage when turning and turning in one place.
